I spent July 24-28 at the Downstream Corps of Engineers campground on Lake Sakakawea in Pick City. Had a lovely spot overlooking the lake but the park was full of mosquitoes and campers as the weekend arrived. I had a very nice visit to the Knife River Cultural Center nearby where they were having a cultural festival.
I really enjoyed seeing the inside of the lodge set up typical to the earth lodges that were used when the Indians inhabited the land.

Especially motivating was listening to this Indian play the flute. What a great day trip this was.
