The next stop was Hazen Bay, a Passport America campground near Hazen, ND. One of the neighbors at the campground for the walleye tournament on Lake Sakakawea gave me a nice bag of walleye.
I visited the Lewis & Clark center in Washburn.
I enjoyed the drive among the fields during harvest time and enjoyed seeing the fields of sunflowers pointing towards the sun. These are scenes that I am not accustomed to seeing.
This sure is a different look from the trees and hills in Arkansas. It reminded me of a 16mm film I was shown in 6th grade. I don't know what the topic was but it showed amber waves of grain. Who knew that grain was shorter these days.
