Tincup, Colorado - July 2002

Tincup is a picturesque old mining town at 10,000+ feet about 8 miles north of Taylor Reservoir.

Not much is located in Tincup but there is a general store.

There are some old cabins located in the area and some not so old.

From Tincup a trip to Mirror Lake was abandoned after a few miles of very rough road.

Frenchy's Cafe was a perfect place for a warm piece of pie fresh from the oven for breakfast. The dry creek bed in front of the cafe is typical of the low water in the streams in Colorado in the summer of 2002.
