Marcia, Jan, and Vicki entertain Mike while he cooks at Cloud Nine RV Resort near Caulfield in southern Missouri, the next destination for the WINs. Quite a few showed up there for kayaking, fishing, four wheeling, and just plain old visiting for a week. This was one of the worst weeks in history for the tornadoes that swept through southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. We did spend several hours on May 5 in the rec room while tornadoes passed through the area with very little damage near us. Other areas in Missouri were not so fortunate. Several WINs left to help those areas most damaged.
I had heard plenty about Bass Pro Shops in Springfield and this was my opportunity to visit.
One could look at some of the animals displayed in the building and almost forget you had come to shop.
Some of the group just couldn't wait to try out Earl's new kayak.
I stopped at Bull Shoals State Park on the way to Missouri. This is where I would have fished had I not left my waders hanging outside overnight where they filled with water. Also spent a night at Bidwell Point Corps of Engineers campground on Norfork Lake.
